Kendriya Vidyalaya Chitrakoot was established in the academic year 2011-12 from classes I to V under Civil sector in order to cater to the educational needs of children of central government employees and others. The Vidyalaya has now grown up to class XII with Science and Humanities Stream with more than 550 students on roll.

The Vidyalaya is presently running in a temporary building, in the GGIC Campus, Karwi. The finalization of site for permanent school building is under process and will get soon. The demand for admissions is very high with a large number of pupils wanting to seek admission. Looking at the trend, one can be sure of its swift progress in the years to come.
